Your role involves contributing to various global projects in Blast Furnace (Iron Making) and Basic Oxygen Furnace (Steel Making). With a focus on continuous improvement, we value a consultant with enduring aspirations and a commitment to effecting lasting change. This position involves a 3-4 day weekly commitment for a balanced work-life schedule. You will be part of the QHSE department and report to the QHSE Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective QHSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations (hazardous substances, Atex, CE, Arbo, etc.).
- Monitor and assess QHSE performance, identifying opportunities for enhancement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address environmental and safety matters.
- Stay updated on regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct training sessions to raise QHSE awareness among employees.
- Participate in audits and inspections to assess compliance levels.
- Provide advice on substantial HSE matters at construction sites.
You are:
- Bring at least 3 years of experience as a QHSE Consultant or equivalent.
- Possess knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45001, with a willingness to learn about machine directives and hazardous substances.
- Have strong English communication skills, a pragmatic and dynamic team approach, political acumen, and active listening abilities. Proficiency in relevant software and occasional travel readiness are also prerequisites.
- Hold EU citizenship.
- Hold a completed Bachelor's Degree and a Safety diploma MVK or equivalent.
