Your role will involve running a cloud-based infrastructure (e.g. Azure, AWS, or GCP) and administering development CI/CD systems (GitLab).
As a Lead/Senior Devops engineer, you will work with a diverse team and have a strong connection with both the Ops and Development teams, as well as the Data Science team. We believe that different backgrounds and experiences lead to more creative and innovative solutions.
Your key Responsibilities:
- Running cloud-based infrastructure
- Administering development CI/CD systems (GitLab)
- Providing technical expertise in Unix/Linux (BSD, RHEL, Debian, etc)
- Managing large databases (PostgreSQL)
- Deploying and administrating container management systems (e.g. Kubernetes)
- Designing and managing team roadmaps
- Leading a small team of DevOps engineers
Your experiences:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
- In-depth knowledge of Unix/Linux (BSD, RHEL, Debian, etc.)
- Experience with configuration management, logging, backup, and monitoring systems
- Experience with administering development CI/CD systems (GitLab)
- Expert experience with GCP
- TerraForm and Kubernetes experience
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Results-oriented and efficient work approach
- Eu passport or permanent residence holders of the Netherlands and must live in the Netherlands
- Fluent in English
Nice to have:
- Awareness or understanding of Internet related protocols such as WHOIS, BGP, IP and HTTP
- Knowledge of Python/Django
- Experience in implementing and maintaining heavily scalable enterprise grade infra
- Cybersecurity knowledge
