For our Managed Kafka implementation, we are looking for a versatile Senior DevOps Engineer with a can-do attitude who is inspired by innovation. Although the initial focus will be on (AWS) Managed Kafka, the Senior DevOps Engineer will broaden their field of work during the implementation to other building blocks, both on the dev and ops sides, such as performance.

As part of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for delivering generic building blocks in the area of Integration & Identity and Access Management (IAM), which are used by the DevOps teams. An important aspect of these solutions is Self Service, which means that teams can use the building blocks without depending on IT Foundation. Within DevOps, the core aspect is to deliver building blocks that provide business agility and speed of realization (time-to-market), with agile solutions that can be developed in fast, short, and small iterations.

Currently, the following building blocks fall within the scope of DevOps:

API Gateway, including Perimeter Gateway, Identity & Access Management (IAM) both internal and external (CIAM), Policy Management, File Gateway, Policy Agent,  E-Recognition.  Later this year, a Managed Kafka solution, Messaging Gateway, and Service Portal for offered services will also be added. Working within the DevOps team should lead to high-quality products that do what they promise and are of high quality, and that are continuously improved through interaction with the engineers of the DevOps teams. It is also important that the work is fun and that the engineer can follow their passion.

The Senior DevOps Engineer must have experience with:

Kafka, Kafka Connect, and Mirrormaker,  Be familiar with the GitOps philosophy and contribute to the implementation of Gitlab CI pipeline, ArgoCD deployment and Operator, and have experience with Terraform and GO In addition, the engineer must have experience with integration, preferably with Kafka integration patterns (such as event-driven) and their application,  Experience with container orchestration, particularly Red Hat Openshift.  Furthermore, the engineer must be a polyglot developer, especially in Java or a comparable language in connection with the Kafka ecosystem,  Knowledge of automated testing.
You are an EU citizen living in the Netherlands and speak Fluent Dutch.
